In the name of God Amen the twentieth day of July Anno Dom 1635
in the eleventh yeare of the raigne of our sov’agne Lord Charles
by the grace of God King of England Scotland France and Ireland
defender of the faith &c. I John Tickner of
Rudgwick in the Countie of Sussex mason being sicke in body but
of pfect memory praysed be God doe make and ordayne this my last
will and testament in maner and forme following.
First I bequeath my soule to God my maker and my body to the dust
from whence it came.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my sixe children John Tickner,
Richard Tickner, James Tickner, William Tickner, Jeane Tickner
and Mary Tickner each one of them one sheepe a
peece and I give unto John Tickner the son of John
Tickner my eldest sons child one sheepe
All the remaynder of my goods I give and bequeath unto Margrett
my wife whom I make whole executrix to this my last will
and testament willing her to pay all such legacies as I have bequeathed
herein
Also I ordayne and appoynt Richard Tickner my
brother and Henry Thayne my welbeloved friend to
be overseers to this my last will and testament desiring them to
be ayding and assisting my executrix in her executing of this my
last will and testament according to the true meaning thereof
